High Expectations, Major Frustrations.
"I’m pretty bummed to have to write this review. I wish it were a positive review. We were genuinely excited to use this stroller for our family trip to Japan. It even arrived the day before we left. I had wanted a different (name brand) stroller, however my husband wanted this one. Unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience from the start. Assembly was frustrating. The instructions relied heavily on unclear pictures and didn’t provide enough detail, so it took way longer than expected to figure things out. Even after assembly, opening and closing the stroller was difficult. Folding it requires multiple steps and is especially inconvenient in busy places like airports and large cities. Definitely not ideal when traveling with multiple kids. The stroller is lightweight for its size, which is nice. But the frame feels flimsy and wobbly. That lack of sturdiness was noticeable right away, would have returned for that reason alone, especially given the price point. While I like that the seat reclines, the design feels awkward. When my child sleeps, their legs stay bent in a seated position instead of extending naturally, which doesn’t seem very comfortable. It also makes it a poor option for quick diaper changes in places like theme parks, since your child can’t lay flat and stays in that awkward bent position. The side cup holders that come with the stroller are large and bulky and make the stroller too wide to fit through tighter spaces. They stick out a lot further than the back tires. We ended up removing them completely. We purchased additional accessories, but they came with their own issues. The snack tray is convenient in theory, but it sits too far away for my 2 year old to comfortably reach while buckled in. We also tried the snack pack with built-in cupholders and a cooler, but it’s bulky as well and actually blocks access to the seat recline lever, the built in wipe compartment, and the cooler on the back of the seat. It also drags on the ground while the stroller is folded. The extra rain cover we purchased also had major flaws. It was incredibly difficult to put this over the stroller seat and sunshade and stay in tact. We found that it’s difficult to use with the snack tray attached to the stroller as well as it stretches the plastic rain cover. The sunshade is nice how it extends and offers good cover on sunny days. However, when it’s folded back up it sits right on the top of my two year olds head. Not sure this stroller would be a good fit for any child older and bigger than my 2 year old. The seatbelt was our biggest issue. The design is by far the worst part. The two clips on the top straps that slide into the bottom side clips constantly slip out, making it extremely difficult to secure our child properly and quickly. Every time we used the stroller, we had to fight with the straps. It was frustrating and honestly embarrassing in public. I really wish we could return this stroller. I originally wanted a different brand, but my husband has loved Tactical Baby Gear products (especially their diaper bag) for years, so we went with this. He was just as disappointed, especially considering the price. The quality just doesn’t match expectations. Pros: Smooth ride. Good-sized terrain wheels. Folds compact (once you figure it out). That’s it."
